I spent decades loathing the way I looked. It affected everything about my life, from the way I showed up in the world and the way I showed up for others, but mostly, how I showed up for myself. Every time I looked in the mirror, the first word that came to my mind was "disgusting". I was inflamed, bloated, foggy brained, and miserable. I was taking more ibuprofen and heartburn pills than any human should consume just to combat the effects of how horrible I felt. I knew that life wasn't supposed to be this way. I knew I wasn't supposed to be this way.


And then I saw a TikTok video of a gal making carrot fries and my life changed in an instant.


She shared that she had lost over 100 pounds in less than a year after reading the book Bright Line Eating. I downloaded that book on Audible and listened to the entire things in less than 2 days.


For the first time in years and years, I had hope.


See, I had become a grandma, and that little girl is everything to me. I knew if I kept doing what I was doing, she wouldn't have me around for very long. With the history of dementia, Alzheimer's, heart disease, and high blood pressure in my family, I knew it was only a matter of time before I developed those ailments, as well. My granddaughter is my WHY. I have hopes and dreams of seeing her grow up. I want to be here to see her dreams come true. I don't want to be riddled with disease. I want to run and play with her.


I want to live.


On September 26th, 2021, my husband Chris and I went ALL IN and started Bright Line Eating. In one year, we lost 155 pounds together - him 65, me 90.


To say it's been life-changing is an understatement.


Over the 24 months, we've learned to navigate the ups and downs that come along with removing sugar and flour from your life. We've created automaticity and no longer have guilt, shame, regret, or remorse associated with food and our food choices. We have established new habit patterns and have found peace and freedom from food chatter and feel better and look better than we have in over 30 years..


We believe in sharing what you've learned so others don't have to reinvent the wheel, and because of that, we have shared tips and tricks and mindset shifts, and have been an inspiration to others that even on the hardest of days, when you show up for yourself - when you CHOOSE YOU - change can happen. This can be done.


In November of 2021, I started a Facebook group to house all the no-sugar, no-flour (NSNF) recipes I found on the interwebs, as well as to provide a place of support and encouragement to anyone around the globe who was wanting to explore what living an NSNF life was like.


As an avid home chef, I started developing my own NSNF recipes and adding them to the Facebook group. The more recipes I developed, the more I realized how much people needed them in an easy-to-use format, which is why I chose to work with a professional designer to create easy-to-follow one-sheet recipes that can be downloaded right from this website and printed for anyone from anywhere.

In May of 2022, I started guiding women through the 30 DAY "I CHOOSE ME" NO SUGAR NO FLOUR CHALLENGE. This activity-based Challenge is my brain-child. I've poured my heart and soul into everything about it, and it's making a difference.


An amazing community has been built because of these Challenges. Hundreds of women have completed the program and have found a place of belonging, acceptance, hope, and accountability.


Is it a commitment? Yes.
